Shahi Jalal

Shahi Jalal is the founding and managing editor of Malabaar Daily, a bilingual Malayalam-English publication serving the Gulf Malayali diaspora. Alongside steering the of Gulf jobs, visa updates, and Kerala news, he writes literary essays and criticism on Malayalam and world literature, and has translated Malayalam literary works into English. He is currently writing his debut Malayalam novel. Shahi Jalal writes with an eye toward the community he serves — Malayalis navigating life between Kerala and the Gulf — bringing both journalistic clarity and literary sensibility to his work.
